Welcome to God's Changing "Woman" Ministry Newsletter, Seasons of a Woman. We are excited about what God is doing in the lives of the spring, summer, autumn and winter woman. Our motto is "Growing Gracefully Through Our Seasons." Our 2011-2012
theme is, "God's Women Working, Planning and Implementing Together." We
meet every Tuesday at the Dr. Denise L. Folks Women's & Children's Self-Help Center located
at 2215 N. Fulton Avenue @ 7:00 p.m. If you are interested in hearing more about God's Changing "Woman" Ministry

the women's counsel house. Your tax deductible Cash donation is always

News God's
Changing Woman Ministry is sponsoring "STRETCH" a weekly support group that encourages women 18
and over to go beyond the natural capacity of body, soul and spirit and "press towards the mark of the high calling"
for the purpose of being able to face life's trials and tribulations. Meeting are on Tuesday's from 7:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m.
at the Dr. Denise L. Folks Self-Help Center located at 2215 N. Fulton Ave. Bring a friend. We want to thank all women who attended our first Emotional Awareness Symposium on Friday, October 21, 2011
at The Greater Church of The Risen Savior. God really moved. We addressed hurts, habits and handups through song, dance, testimonies
and preaching. We thank Pastor Virginia Wise of NEW ROSE OF SHARON BAPTIST CHURCH and Minister Shawn Matthews founder
of Sisters Helping Sisters for their support. Our "State
of The Black Female" Symposium" scheduled for Friday, December 2, 2011 at 7:00p.m. has been posponed until February
24, 2012.The event will take place at Postive Youth Expressions, Inc. Educational Institute located at 200
N. Bentalou Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21223. Call 410-945-7300 for details.
* We are now in collaboration with Westside Elementary School in west Baltimore City to conduct
workshops for families at our outreach center and to distribute clothing and food. *
Our childcare center in southwest Baltimore City and our Greater Youth Christian Academy is now accepting applications.
We have closed our northeast childcare center due to low enrollment resulting from a freeze on POC vouchers. We are in prayer
about reopening it once state funds become available.

DENISE LORRAINE FOLKS, B.A.,B.S,M.C.E,M.ED.,Ph.D.,D.Min.
Granddaughter of the late Reverend Dr. Jentry E. McDonald of the Morning Star Baptist Church of Catonsville, Maryland.
DENISE LORRAINE FOLKS serves as Co-Founder of the Greater Church of The Risen Savior, Inc. in Southwest Baltimore City.
She serves in the five fold ministry and has received the three fold gifting as prophet, pastor and teacher. She was born
in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Folks earned a Bachelor's degree in Adapted Physical Education and a Master of Education degree
in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from Coppin State University in 1984 and 1988. She was saved while a student at Coppin
State University. One of her professors told her about Jesus Christ and she accepted the Word of God.Also while at Coppin
State she served as an Instructor .In 1997, she earned the Doctorate of Ministry Degree from Family Bible Institute, College
and Seminary. In 2005, she earned the Ph.D. in Pastoral Clinical Counseling from Sarasota University. She is a Professional
Clinical Member and a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor - Advanced Certified with the National Association of Christian
Counselors. She has completed additional graduate studies at Notre Dame University.
Dr. Folks released her first poetry book, entitled From Darkness to Light- A Living Testimony of Poetry in 1997. In 2000,
she released her second poetry book, Oh, that I had wings of a Dove- Touching the life of a torn heart. She is presently
working on her third book entitled, Back A Sister Up-I am Commanded to Prophesy. Dr. Folks is the Founder and CEO of the Greater
Youth Christian Academy and Little Folks Child Care & Early Learning Technology Center (State Approved)which were established
in 2002. She is also the founder and CEO of Positive Youth Expressions, Incorporated established in 1993. This is the same
year that she began in the christian ministry at Family Bible Church under the leadership of Apostle Eddie A. Montgomery,Ph.D.
She was ordained as a Youth Pastor in 1996 by the board of presbyters.
From 1984-2002, Dr. Folks served as a Special Educator in the Baltimore City, Baltimore County and private school systems.
For more than twenty five years, Dr. Folks has worked untiringly in the fields of special education, counseling, ministry
and youth outreach. She loyally served as a membership executive with the Girls Scouts of Central Maryland.She is a former
Court Appointed Special Advocate for neglected and abused children in the State of Maryland. She served as a Foster Parent
for the Baltimore City Department of Social Services. She has received countless awards and citations for her civic work.
In 2002, she was awarded the Governor's Award for outstanding service to the citizens of the State of Maryland.
She was ordained in 1998 as a Pastor by the board of Bishops in the Body of Christ. Currently she serves as Pastor with her
husband,Reverend Dr. Victor M. Folks, who serves as the Senior Pastor and Founder. Dr. Folks is a dynamic speaker and preacher
who operates under the powerful anointing of the Holy Ghost. She is a powerful woman of God who takes her call as a prophetess,pastor
and teacher seriously. She preaches the non-compromising word of God with boldness, drama, and poetic efficacy. In 1999,
she founded God's Changing "Woman" Ministry to meet the ongoing challenges of women in the body of Christ. Recently she enlarged
her ministry by joining CCRBN.COM ,an outreach webcast ministry worldwide.
Dr. Folks is always available to help God's people transform this present world into the Kingdom of God. Join In!
